Avid viewers of our YouTube channel may have noticed the regular Carnage videos with host Scotty Taylor had been put on ice for a few weeks, so in this fresh episode he explains why.

Unfortunately, poor Scotty busted his shoulder pretty bad a few weeks back. He’s on the mend now, but getting that sorted required a few weeks off from busting knuckles in the workshop. Carnage cameraman Matty Hull stepped in during Scotty’s absence, putting together a couple of ripper videos that you should go check out.

With Scotty now back on deck, he decided to ease us back into the proceedings by giving us a run down of where all the current Carnage project cars are at.

We’ll kick things off with the Supermang, our L67-swapped VN Berlina. Last time you would’ve seen this fine machine, Scotty was getting it ready for Victoria registration, which is still in the works. It’s refusal to start a few weeks ago prompted him to pull the injectors out and get them cleaned, so in this episode he throws them back in and we hear the angry 4.2-litre stroker fire into life.

Up next, Turbo Taxi! The pursuit for a 10-second ET out of this car is still ongoing, and with a fresh motor, it’s ready for another crack. Being an LPG-fueled car, we’re uncharacteristically waiting for the weather to warm up (as it helps with LPG bottle pressure) and then have one last crack.

Our sleeper Toyota Lexcen wagon with 1UZ-turbo power has done us solid with everything we’ve thrown as it, from monster dyno runs at Street Machine Summernats to completing the Optima Ultimate Street Car Challenge. The last time you would’ve seen it, Scotty threw a nitrous fogger on the intercooler to see if it’d help with the IATs. Scotty’s keen to race it again soon, so you’ll see that coming up this summer.

Along with changing the oil (which is creamy from E85 contamination), Scotty had to diagnose a minor oil leak.

Another 90s-based Commodore that’s ready to race is our eight second, Drag Challenge-proven VS Commodore ute. Last time you would’ve seen it, it made over 1500rwhp to the hubs on the dyno at MPW Performance with the twin turbo Dart 427ci LS, so Scotty is keen to get it back to the track and run a new PB – maybe even a seven!

Enjoy this week’s episode below, and thanks to VPW Australia and Kemppi Australia for their support.
