2017 VALVOLINE STREET MACHINE OF THE YEAR

IT’S that time once again: your chance to choose the Valvoline Street Machine Of The Year. It’s simple: Vote for your favourite street machine of the past 12 months, we’ll tally the votes, and the owner of the car with the most votes takes home the trophy and $20,000.

As usual, there’s plenty to float your boat among the 16 finalists – traditional chrome-mountain street machines; elite one-off customs; two Summernats Grand Champions (one a tradition Aussie street machining fave, the other a turbocharged rotary!) and just about everything in between. Yep, this year’s SMOTY is hotter than ever.

The 2017 Street Machine Of The Year winner will not only become the 30th to have their name engraved on the hallowed SMOTY trophy, but will also bag a $20,000 cheque thanks to our great friends at Valvoline.

HOW IT WORKS

THE 16 finalists are decided by a vote of Street Machine staff and contributors.

To be eligible, cars must be primarily Australian-built and featured in one of the past 12 issues of Street Machine. Elite show cars, tough streeters and ballistic burnout weapons are among the finalists, but the outright winner is up to you!

YOU CAN WIN TOO

NOT only does your vote count towards your favourite car getting the gong, but it also puts you in the draw to win the ultimate Summernats experience. You and a mate could be off to Canberra on us, with flights from the winner’s nearest Australian capital (or from Auckland, Wellington or Christchurch if you live in NZ), four nights in a top hotel, two Platinum Passes to Summernats 31, a pair of VIP passes to the exclusive Street Machine party, and $1000 spending money to boot!

HOW TO VOTE

SIMPLY vote for your favourite vehicle below. Voting opens 24 August 2017 and closes 6 October 2017 at 23:59 (AEDT). To help you make your choice, you’ll also be able to view the original feature stories on all 16 finalists. You can only vote once, so make it count!!
