Four months ago, we put a new engine back into Turbo Taxi, but an attack of the gremlins meant the old girl got put into the naughty corner while we focused on other projects.

However, the FG has been hogging one of our hoists, so Scotty has decided to get it running and ready to hit the track once more.

The first trick was to bolt all the external parts back on the car, as well as adding an aluminium thermostat housing, including a Proflow oil feed and filter kit, a radiator hose kit and new Pro Flow radiator!

Sadly, the old girl is very low on LPG, so it will need to be put on a tilt tray for a top up. She’ll also need some repairs to the exhaust system, but with that done, she’ll be ready to hit the dyno.
