1600hp twin-turbo Camaro for auction – Carnage Plus episode 32

We check out some of the sweet rides hitting the block at this month’s GraysOnline classic auction

THE GraysOnline monthly classic car auctions are always filled with some awesome metal, and this lot is no different.

The headline act for this month is a 520ci, twin-turbo big-block Chevy Camaro, packing 1600hp of tyre-frying joy under its aggressively tubbed rear end. Debuting at Summernats 26 (2013) and going on to feature as the cover car of the April 2013 issue of Street Machine, it certainly has the looks to match the oomph.

Another gem is a jaw-dropping ’57 Chevy two-door pillarless, which has had around $250,000 spent on restoration in the recent past, and it really shows. The injected 502ci big-block Chevy up front makes this ’57 a perfect cruiser, and (somehow) Scotty managed to score the keys to take it for a burl around the block.

If you’re a fan of Brocky or iconic Holdens, then this month’s crop will be right up your alley. Peter Brock’s CV8 Monaro Targa Tasmania car is up for auction, or if old-school metal is more your taste, they also have a LC Torana race car in a Brock-esque guise sporting a tasty five-litre V8 up for grabs as well.

If you want to see these cars in the flesh, make sure you head to our 100K YouTube Subscriber Celebration cars-and-coffee meet, on this coming Sunday, 28 July at the GraysOnline auction warehouse in Dandenong. All these beauties will be on display, as well as half a dozen of your favourite Carnage project cars, plus live music, food and coffee trucks. The best part is, you can bring your pride and joy along and put it on display as well, so if you’re in Melbourne, make sure you head over on Sunday and say g’day! You can find out more here.
