Video: The final touches on the Drag Challenge ute

In this episode of Carnage, Scotty tackles some fiddly tasks on our twin-turbo VS ute project

The 427ci Dart LS Drag Challenge ute is back in this episode of Carnage, Scotty buttoning up some final tasks before it heads back to MPW Performance & Race Fab,

The first major was the power steering, which needed the Proflow reservoir mounted and new lines made to suit.

As with all things, it wasn’t a straight forward process. Scotty had to make a new bracket from scratch, and also had Ben at Top G Fabrication modify the reservoir with a new mounting plate.

Once its new home had been dialled, Scotty made some fresh lines using Proflow teflon and the necessary AN fittings. Their catalogue caters for all this stuff, so it made it a breeze for us being able to source everything from the one place.

The exhaust was bolted back on, and our Proforce bucket seat went back into the driver’s side to make it easier to get on and off the tow truck en route to MPW Performance & Race Fab.

Once there, Adam Rogash and the crew will sort some final fab jobs, and then it’ll hit the dyno to finally make some noise! In the meantime, enjoy the new episode below:
