Supermang lives again in this fresh episode of Carnage, as Scotty drops the 4.2-litre stroker L67 V6 into our VN Berlina and gets it running for the very first time.
In last week’s episode, we saw Scotty diagnose a clearance issue we had with the bigger stroker bottom end. You can watch the juicy parts here, but essentially the conrod was hitting the camshaft due to the extra rotational movement needed for the stroker kit.

After much problem solving to rectify that issue with the help of our mates at Mace Engineering, Scotty got the long-block L67 back together and ready to install in the car.
So, that’s where we pick up today’s episode. The beefier V6 makes its way into the car, before Scotty dresses it with all the accessories and, of course, the standard M90 supercharger.

With a charged battery, she fired up and purred straight away! It was a big relief given all the niggles we’ve had with the motor up ’til this point, but now it seems we’re finally on the right path.
We didn’t have a chance to get it on the dyno before all the public holidays over the Easter period, but hopefully in the next episode, we’ll do exactly that at Maxx Performance. We can’t wait to find out how much extra power we get with 4.2 litres of stroked pleasure!
