Those who tuned into Carnage last week would’ve seen Scotty announce plans to build one final LPG Barra for Turbo Taxi.

He took a spare aspirated short block, tore out the factory rotating assembly and prepared it for a budget renovation that includes aftermarket rods, gapped piston rings and turbo-spec Ford pistons.

This week’s new Carnage episode picks up where we left off. Scotty gets the rotating assembly in, and then sets about cleaning up a spare head he nabbed from another dead engine.

Shout-out to Frank Marchese from Dandy Engines, who let Scotty hot-wash this head so it looked less like an artefact from the Titanic.

As with any performance Barra recipe, Scotty used an oil pump with billet gears, and then swapped out the toothpick standard valve springs for some stronger ones.

With the long block assembled, it’s nearly time to get it in the car. However, Drag Challenge is right around the corner, and with our Grimace ute set to tackle that adventure, we’ll get back to the Turbo Taxi engine once we return. Until then, enjoy the new episode below!
