Zac from Hoonigan and Hert coming to Street Machine Summernats 36!

Americans Mister Zachary from Hoonigan and Hertrech Eugene Jr are coming to see how we shred tyres at Australia’s biggest car festival

The Street Machine Summernats crew love bringing special guests from all over the country and around the world to experience Australia’s greatest car festival, and for the upcoming Street Machine Summernats 36 they’ve gone big.

Hoonigan’s Zac Mertens (aka Mister Zachary) and Nappy Boy Automotive’s Hertrech Eugene Jr will be making the trip over from the US for the ‘Nats, indulging themselves in four days of ride alongs, meet and greets and more!

Zac is one of the presenters on Hoonigan’s YouTube and media channels, but is also a self-proclaimed lover of killing tyres and choppy cams. Zac was recently in the country with Hoonigan to film their Australian THIS vs THAT drag racing series at Cootamundra Airport. He got a taste of Aussie burnout culture during that shoot when Jake Myers S1CKO Mustang made an appearance, tipping in so hard it tore up the air strip!

Along with doing ride alongs and meet and greets, Summernats say Zac will also be jumping on the mic on the burnout pad.

Hert’s appearance at Summernats feels like it has been a long time coming, as he’s probably one of the most brutal tyre destroyers in the US. One of the first Hoonigan employees, Hert is best known for his drifting antics in his cartoon-like, LS-swapped FC RX-7, dubbed Twerkstallion.

Hert only recently left the Hoonigan brand to forge his own with world-famous wrapper T-Pain, Nappy Boy Automotive. He also did a stint on American TV presenting the Hot Wheels: Ultimate Challenge reality TV show. Hert was supposed to come to this year’s Summernats 35, but elected not to make the trip after tragic and unexpected passing of Hoonigan co-founder Ken Block only weeks before the event.

We reckon both the boys will fit right in, and this year’s ‘Nats is shaping up as the biggest yet on January 4 – 7. With vehicle entries well and truly sold out, it’s looking likely spectator passes will go that way soon as well. To find out more and grab your tickets, head to summernats.com.au.
