Saturday was go-fast day at Alice Springs Inland Dragway for Red CentreNATS 12, with Wild Bunch headlining the Saturday night drags that saw a prize pool of $31,000 for the Wild Bunch National Titles and $21,000 across the Heavy Hitters categories up for grabs.
Outside of the Wild Bunch series, the Heavy Hitters ran to a Chicago Shootout-style of racing, with brackets from 7.00 all the way to 12.00 and up for competitors to dial into. With no dew in the air and the ASID track staff working overtime to provide the best surface they possibly could, racers were throwing down over the quarter mile.

The crowd packed the hill all night around the ASID burnout pad, with eliminations getting underway just after dark and going into the beautifully mild evening. There was plenty of familiar faces in the lanes duking it for top honours, including Mick Jury’s small-block-powered HQ Monaro that went on to win the 11.00 – 11.99 bracket.
You can see the full list of results from all categories including the bikes below, and stay tuned for the Pro Burnout series and Red CentreNATS Champion announcements later this evening!
