It’s our first Carnage episode for 2024, and we couldn’t think of any better way to kick off the year than spending the weekend at Street Machine Summernats 36 with the 1UZ Lexcen.

Just before Christmas we had this freshly completely machine on the dyno at Maxx Performance, where it made a bloody impressive 624hp/465kW to the hubs. Scotty put in a lot of hard yakka during the ‘break’ to get the wagon buttoned up for ‘Nats, but it was well worth the effort.

Along with a heap of cruising, one of the goals for the weekend was to make some decent power in the MPW dyno cell for the Haltech Horsepower Heroes.

Scotty was confident of a figure around 600-650hp, but the little Toyota that could shocked us all when it went well north of that on the first run with 670hp! It went a hell of a lot higher than that, but you’ll have to watch the video below to see just how much.

The rest of the weekend was spent having fun on the Supercruise, catching up with loads of fans and enjoying Australia’s best car festival. It’s going to be a mammoth year for Carnage, and we can’t wait to get stuck in!
