THE agony and ecstasy of Street Machine Drag Challenge was in full effect at Swan Hill Dragway yesterday.

Among those in the agony camp were Bubba Medlyn, Brendan Cherry and Jason Ghiller. They are all officially out of the event, though some of the guys are aiming to be back later in the week to put on a show.

Terry Seng and the Paramount crew had dramas with a dud turbo, but have sourced another from Speed Pro and will be back in action at Mildura today.

Gav Edmonds, Andy Milne and the Adelaide Motorsport Fabrication team had major dramas, dropping a valve in the Hemi-powered ‘Hanson Road Hooker’ ’34 Ford. But rather than give up, Gav’s wife Natalie grabbed a set of heads from the Krankenstein gasser and drove them all the way from Adelaide to Swan Hill. What a gal!
