IF YOU missed all the excitement from UBC#7 (Ultimate Burnout Challenge) then strap yourself into your favourite chair and click play for five minutes of tyres-shedding, smoke-infused burnout action from Avalon raceway.
UBC is one of the biggest burnout shows in the country. It’s is a one day smoke fest that pits the best in the land against each other for a share in $30,000 worth of prize money. As with some of the past years they had a bad run of luck with the weather and a series of heavy showers made things heavy going and chased the spectators away. But they did get enough entrants on the pad to make it an event, and Steve Nogas with the KILLA-B Camaro took the win ahead of Craig Whiddett in CUTSIK and Ryan Pearson in HOLDEN.
If five minutes of smoke and fire isn’t enough for you, then head out to Lardner Park this weekend (7th & 8th of March) for Motorfest. There will be plenty of methanol-guzzling, tyre-turning mayhem, and fun for all the family. It’s a beaut little track with rural views and it’s only an hour east of Melbourne. Check out their website at motorfest.com.au for details.
