THE Good Fryday burnout comp at Sydney Dragway on the Friday before Easter is always a big one that draws out the top-level cars. The pad is big and open, the crowd is usually down for a good time and the entrants include some of the burnout elite – it’s a recipe for a quality show.
Andrew Lynch’s car carrier was stacked with toughies including Steve Loader’s UCSMOKE, Sam Surace’s MADSAM Capri, Scott Yates’s YATESZ, Rick Fuller’s LSONE, Paul Cook’s BLWNVC and of course Lynchy’s Corolla. Those were the noteworthy Melbourne cars, add in Mick Brasher in ULEGAL, TUFFST, BLWNLUX, 1TUFHG, HOLDON, FROMHELL, FEAR, and you get the idea – good quality field.
As always LYNCHY got it done and put on one hell of a show in his little blue LS-powered Corolla, while Rick Fuller in his yellow VK Commodore LSONE continued his streak of awesome performances. Brasher also ripped up the pad in ULEGAL, but no one could touch Steve Loader in UCSMOKE after he owned the pad, pumped out massive smoke and drove the wheels off the big old HT Prem. His skid – which you can watch above – secured him first place and the $5000 cash prize.
