PAUL Cook has been skidding his blown and injected VC Commodore, BLWNVC, for about a year now. His car packs a destructive 532-cube big-block and 16/71 Littlefield blower combo built by Powerhouse Engines, good for around 1100hp.
Many who have seen this car in action will know that it has had some teething issues, particularly with fires, and when we caught up with Paul at Lardner Park Motorfest last weekend things were no different. He had a small engine fire on Saturday that peeled some paint off the fenders and a nasty tyre fire on Sunday. Like a lot of the burnout boys, Paul hates having fires and is still trying to work out why the blown and injected cars go up in flames so often.
Even though he’s had a few dramas, Paul is just enjoying driving the car and doing a heap of travelling around Australia for the skid comps. In a week’s time he’ll be over in Perth with Lynchy and a few other blokes for the Good Friday Burnout King comp.
Check out the video as Paul talks us through his burnout beast and takes on the pad at Motorfest.
