THE Ultimate Burnout Challenge party headed to Perth Motorplex on 11 May for some tyre-shredding action, in a day filled with plenty of fires, big wall hits, rods thrown and irrefutable levels of rubber-wrecking awesomeness.

All the big guns came out to play at this one, including 2019 Summernats Burnout Championship winner Matt Hamon in his VE ClubSport, who lit just about every inch of the Motorplex pad on fire in a violent display of horsepower.

Rick Fuller took home the outright win in his insane FULL ON VF Commodore ute, punishing his mill with one of the heaviest right foots in the paddock to leave most spectators in need of a new set of eardrums.

Lynchy was in fine form once again in his little Corolla, and after breaking his throttle cable during his first qualifying run, he went all-out for the rest of the day. Using every inch of the pad to tip in at speeds that had to be seen to be believed, he finished the night in second spot overall.

Despite it being quite obvious that a rub-up with the wall would result in a zero score, at least half a dozen cars still managed to find a concrete nemesis. Russell Harris had one of the biggest hits of the day, going in all guns blazing on one of his runs and giving the back end of his bright pink VL Commodore a massage it won’t forget for some time.

Steve Loader was on hand for a number of killer demo skids in his UCSMOKE Holden, while Matt James had the small-block Ford singing to the tune of 9000rpm out on the pad in his COMPACT Fairlane.
