CLYNT PERRY’S BA FALCON ONE-TONNER AT POWERCRUISE 66

HAILING from Gulgong in Central Western NSW, Clynt Perry is a Ford man through and through. He loves little more than to travel all over this wide brown land with his BA Falcon One-Tonner ONGROG, belting tyres as if they were his mortal enemy.

Powercruise Sydney is one of his must-do events, but less than a month beforehand he dragged the Falcon down to Xtreme Powerfest at Shepparton, where things went a little bit pear-shaped. A blown oil line at the rear of the motor sparked a fire which ripped through a bunch of wiring and a brake line, fried the shifter cable, and melted some plastic in the tunnel.

Undeterred, Clynt cobbled together enough parts to keep ONGROG out on track for the remainder of Powerfest, then dragged the beast home, cracked out the Sidchromes and got stuck in. After a bit of hard slog, it was looking good as new and ready to party at Powercruise 66.

Built for the express purpose of making bulk quantities of noise and smoke, ONGROG has  been fitted with the driveline from Clynt’s previous toy, EVILXF. It runs a blown Clevo stroker on methanol, C4 trans and nine-inch diff. The tray is custom built, and designed to withstand abuse from flailing tyre belts.

Clynt just kept feeding the car tyres and methanol across the weekend at Powercruise, racking up plenty of cruising miles and competing in the burnout comp. He was also picked in the 20 versus 20 showdown across the road at Sydney Dragway and was set to compete for Team Mackley, but the rain blew in before he got his chance.
