PERTH young gun Aaron James has been racing this VG Valiant for the last couple of years. He got it as a roller off Jeff Clarke and sunk a 440 cuber into it and a 727 Torqueflite and went racing. The car ran low elevens, but Aaron has since stepped up to a monster 547-cube big-block and added a set of Caltracs to the rear end.

We caught up with Aaron at Red CentreNATS in Alice Springs last weekend where he ran his first few passes with the new setup. Unfortunately not all went to plan and after running a PB of 10.15 @ 133mph something broke in the auto which meant the Val only had forward gears. We're sure Aaron will have it fixed in no time and be back at the track gunning for a 9-second pass!
