It’s Torana time in this week’s fresh episode of Carnage, as Scotty breaks out the grinders and gets to work making our TA Torana two-door a complete car.
We got the little Torry during COVID-19, and it’s kind of been off to one side since then while we pondered what to do with it. There’s still no real plan in place as to its purpose or driveline, so if you have an idea, drop it in the comments below!

Regardless of what we do with it, though, we still need to piece it back together and fix the rust.
Now, for a 1970s Torana, she’s pretty rust-free, is why we picked her up in the first place. Even so, the front footwells needed some love, and with Kemppi coming onboard as a supporter of the show last week, we thought there’d be no better way to test out their gear than by welding in some new patch panels.

We sourced some replacement panels for the floors and a few other spots around the car from our mates at Rare Spares. While we could bend and make new panels from scratch, it saves a hell of a lot of time using repair panels like this, and they’re cheap enough that it’s arguably a more economical solution.

Enjoy a fresh episode of Carnage below, and thanks again to Kemppi for making this job a breeze!
