The party kicks off in earnest tomorrow with a cruise hosted by the Aces & Eights car club , followed by the Fringe Festival in the Alice Springs CBD from 6.00pm to 9.00pm. This was a ripper gathering in 2023 and looking at the weather forecast, this year’s should be even better.

Things begin to heat up dramatically on Friday, with the burnout qualifying. There is over $20,000 and two Summernats Pro Burnouts tickets up for grabs, so there is a lot on the line!

There are stack of cracking cars in contention, including Ryan Pearson in HOLDON, Mark Siracusa in the ONIT Torana, Tyson Smith in KRAZZY, Wal Gersekowski in 1TUFHG, Dave Cufone in NOVAKILL and Jono Kelly in the 3FIVES VK.

Saturday is a huge one, especially as this will be the one and only day events will be happening a Blatherskite Park. The festivities there will include the Elite Show car shed, show ‘n’ shine, Great Northern 4WD course, grass driving events and – from 3pm – the form up for the annual Street Parade.

At Alice Springs Inland Dragway, Saturday will see grudge racing in the morning, followed by DYO racing the afternoon and then the Heavy Hitters show from 6.30pm. The Heavy Hitters have in excess of $20,000 in prizemoney up for grabs, so the competition will be fierce.

Sunday kicks off with a Father’s Day show & shine at ASID, while the Grand Champion contenders strut their stuff at the drags and then in the tarmac time trial.

All entrants then get their chance to blow off some steam in the Supercruise down the quarter mile, from 10am to 12.00pm. This is open to any entrant over the age of 17. Passengers are welcome, but they must have their own seat and be belted up. All cars need a bonnet, but besides that, run what you brung and have fun!

Both the Open and Burnout Pro finals then run from 1pm to 3.30pm.

The event then concludes with the Podium Party and major awards presentation at Lasseters. The Grand Champion fight is going to be intriguing, we’re pumped to see who takes home the choccies. See you there!
