WE chat with Cara Pearson about her restored FE Holden on the last day of manufacturing at Holden’s Elizabeth factory

The last-ever locally produced Holden rolled off the production line at the Elizabeth factory last Friday. While the ceremony on the day was a private affair for employees, hundreds of Holden fans turned up to pay their last respects, including Cara Pearson in her FE Holden Special.

The car has been in her family since new and when it was passed down to Cara, she treated it to a killer restoration job while still at high school, preserving all of the individual touches that had been added to the car through the decades.
