Hellcat-powered Plymouth Duster at SEMA – Video

Beth Hazelwood has owned her Plymouth Duster from new, but even when it rolled off the production line it didn't look this good!

BETH Hazelwood bought her ’74 Plymouth Duster brand new from the dealer, complete with 340 power under the bonnet! Beth has always been a bit of a petrolhead, and she drag-raced the car for over a decade, running in the low 11-second zone. After years of abuse on the track, as well as street duties, the car was parked and pulled apart for a restoration.

Unfortunately, during that time Hurricane Katrina hit, and Beth lost a whole bunch of parts from the car; it was a miracle that the Duster itself even survived. After years of rebuilding, the car was sent off to a shop in Pennsylvania for a birthday, but it didn’t work out and Beth’s Duster ended up going missing!

Eventually it was found and that’s when Beth named the car Kasper and entrusted her baby to Goolsby Customs for a massive rebuild. As you can see, the guys at Goolsby absolutely knocked it out of the park, and unveiled the car at SEMA 2018 to an impressed audience – including Beth herself! During the build, Goolsby Customs had consulted her on some of the big decisions like the paint scheme, but Beth never actually saw the complete car until its SEMA reveal. To say she was happy with the outcome is a huge understatement.

The Duster has received a whole host of body mods, and rides on a custom Roadster Shop chassis with wider tracks front and rear. The wheels are a real highlight and are one-offs by EVOD, measuring 18×7 up front and 18×11 out the back. The result is an epic stance! It has the grunt to match too, with a Hellcat crate motor under the bonnet.
