WE are back in Alice Springs for the the fourth installment of Red CentreNATS!
To get here, I towed the Carnage Show MX5.7 2300km from Melbourne behind the trusty FX4 Ford Ranger. It’s an awesome drive!
Our slot to scrutineer the MX-5 isn’t until lunchtime tomorrow, so we cruised around checked out the scene. As always, there are plenty of toughies entered, with many of them applying for the special permits to allow otherwise-illegal burnout and drag cars on the road for the weekend. Mint!
One of our favourite cars from last year was back – Josh Kerridge’s 1963 Toyota Stout. It won an Encouragement Award in 2017 and deservedly so – what a cracker!
There is a 410 Sprintcar meeting on at Arunga Park Speedway tonight (bonus!) and the burnouts kick off tomorrow at Alice Springs Inland Dragway from 4.30pm. Stay tuned for all the action.
