5. ELECTRONIC CARBURETOR INJECTION (ECI) SYSTEM

New from K&N Engineering is this Electronic Carburetor Injection (ECI) system – a bolt-on product that adds a supplemental fuel source to carburettor-fed motors to improve reliability and performance. It consists of a carb spacer plate with a fuel block and injector, an ECU, and a wideband O2 sensor. In a way, the ECI system works like an EFI system, whereby it reads the air/fuel ratio fed to it from an O2 sensor installed in the vehicle’s exhaust. Where this differs from EFI is that it’s used in conjunction with the carby. Any time the system detects a lean condition, the injector will kick in to bring the AFR back to spec, but the engine is still fed primarily by the carb. Head over to knfilters.com to find out more.

Just as we are celebrating 50 years of Monaro, so too is TW Steel, with this beaut-looking watch, made in collaboration with Holden to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the marque’s maiden Bathurst victory. The Holden Monaro GTS 327 Limited Edition timepiece is based on the Dutch watchmaker’s Volante collection and features a 48mm, 316L steel case with PVD black coated bezel and screwed crown.
