Fancy yourself an early Christmas present? Then Grays’ latest classic car auction is primed with some perfect buying, just in time to stick one under the tree (or in the driveway).
All the listings are live now, and you can view the full selection of Grays classic cars in this week’s auction right here.
Our first pick is this neat ’69 HT Monaro, a full-fat GTS 350 four-speed machine. She’s in primo condition, looking to have likely copped a full restoration in recent years. We know SM editor Andrew Broadley would do obscene things to nab this one, and who would blame him!? See it here.
Next up is another Holden classic, a one owner HQ Kingswood! With the original number plates and sun visor, we reckon it’s a perfect candidate to stick a lumpy V8 in and cruise all summer long. Check it out here.
If you’re after a summer cruiser in that vane but are more a blue oval fan, then this lovely XC Falcon sedan should do nicely. She’s also a column shift manual, so you can learn the young’uns about the good old days of Australian motoring! See the listing here.
Street Machine Summernats is right around the corner, and if you’re looking for the perfect car to cruise to and around the event in, it’d be hard to beat this VG Valiant convertible! Rocking a 245 Hemi six and some decent paintwork, she’s ready to rock! See it here.
If you’re in the market for some rare Aussie muscle on a modest budget, this HSV VN SV-T30 could just fit the bill. Built for the top selling Holden dealers in the early 90s, the T30s are coined as such as they were given to the top 30 best performing dealers.
This one being build #26 was given to Reg Hunt Holden, as denoted on the unique dash badge. All series one T30s were painted in Alpine White, with the SV89 bodykit, glass sunroof, and the 180kW version of Holden’s injected iron lion V8 and drivetrain. This exact car sold at auction in 2021 for $37,000, so could make decent buying. Check it out here.
Our last pick is a sweet FG generation FPV, specifically this 2009 GT-E. The GT-E was the understated way to get the GTs 315kW shove without the lairy bodykit, and with a touch more luxury as well. With 128,000km on the clocks it’s in good condition but not so low you’ll be afraid to use it, so right in the sweet spot! See it here.
