AN ACTION-packed weekend in Alice Springs produced some of the best burnouts ever seen on the Red CentreNATS pad, with a record number of Burnout Masters tickets on offer for Street Machine Summernats 33.

holden hg ute 1TUFHGWarren Gersekowski hurled his purple HG ute around the pad magnificently to take home the win in the Masters on Sunday afternoon, capping off a great weekend for the 1TUFHG crew.

Jay Chun Tie used his RCN street permit to the fullest on the cruise route, making daily appearances on the roads of Alice Springs. The street miles didn’t soften his approach on the pad though, taking out second spot in the Masters.

Joel Sykes came home third in the Masters standings in his HK Holden sedan, out of 15 Masters contenders.

Holden VK CommodoreCasey Tolcher was the winner in the Burnout Championship, in what turned out to be a podium dominated by VK Commodores.

Leteisha Chun Tie made it a very successful weekend for the Chun Tie siblings from Townsville, nabbing second spot in her bright pink VK, PARTY TIME. Billy Seton completed the top three in his SILYTOY VK Commodore, despite giving the nose of his beast a bit of a re-adjustment a few weeks before hand at Gazzanats in Darwin.

Wayne Harris shared driving duties in the OFF TAP Corolla with his daughter Brooke for RCN, and she didn’t disappoint. She not only out-qualified her dad by one spot to make the Burnout Masters top 10, but she made the finals and nabbed the encouragement award for her efforts in a true show of rookie talent.

In the Six-Cylinder class, Harry Seaman took home the cherries in his HAZARD VK.

Holden HQ TonnerSadly, the burnouts weren’t without casualties. Jack Seaman’s LOOSEQ HQ Tonner ripped the front end off the engine during his Burnout Championship run on Sunday afternoon.
