Dave Guilfoyle’s ’73 HQ Monaro GTS is our cover star this month. With a beautifully detailed 502-cube big-block under the bonnet and a BDS 6/71 blower hanging out of it, this thing means business.

Glenn Profilio’s Down Town Kustoms-built FC ute blew us away at MotorEx earlier this year. If Holden were to build a brand-new FC ute in 2015, we doubt they’d get the fit and finish as spot-on as these boys did.

In our Legend section we chat to Nathan Booth, who’s just been crowned the youngest-ever winner of our annual Street Machine Of The Year award with his Nissan RB25-powered Holden HR ute. Along with an awesome trophy and bragging rights, Nathan took home a $20,000 cheque thanks to Valvoline.

Matt James’s ’64 Compact Fairlane has all the style in the world. But with a blown and injected 447-cube Windsor V8 under the bonnet making 1600hp, it definitely has the substance too.

Street Machine Supernats turned 21 this year, but coming of age certainly didn’t mean it was time to settle down. The event’s new home of Sydney Dragway turned out to be the perfect location to put on a smoke show.

Greg Hogan’s ’69 Camaro was another show-stopper from this year’s MotorEx show. It’s detailed to perfection and kitted out with all the pro touring goodies, including a 440-cube LS7 motor.

Whether debuting a new ride, admiring everyone else’s or getting into the dirt drags, Chopped 2015 was a must for anyone into trad-style rods and customs. Over 10,000 punters turned up this year for the music and cool cars – it was massive!

Having tragically lost his first Gemini show car on the way to Summernats, Jay Bloss has bounced back with the bigger, badder GEMWAR. With a massive blower strapped to an LS1, this Gem is a weapon of mass tyre destruction.
