Meguiar’s MotorEx is almost with us, ready to rock at Melbourne Showgrounds, 4-5 May. There is a LOT going on over the weekend, but the peak of competition is the Superstars Awards. Just to take part, participants have to qualify, either a the previous MotorEx or another qualifying event throughout the year, including Street Machine Summernats, Rockynats and Motorvation.

We have 24 qualifiers – joined by a wildcard or two from this year’s Great Uncover – who will duke it out for a spot in the Super Six and ultimately, the Grand Master title. The reigning Grand Master is Dan Morton’s FORGED XY Fairmont. Dan’s car will be on display at MotorEx, but won’t be eligible for another run at the title.

The Meguiar’s Super Six represents the top six point-scoring Finalists, and the Grand Master is the top overall Finalist. This makes the Meguiar’s Superstars Grand Master the highest accolade on offer at MotorEx and the most sought after modified car award in the country.

Competition is fierce, with car builders pulling out all the stops and constantly pushing the boundaries to have a shot at winning the coveted 600mm tall, 18kg, masterpiece billet trophy and accompanying cash prize.

Check out the finalists below and stay tuned for more teasers on the staggering amount of new builds to be unveiled at the event.
