Gazzanats Darwin burnouts – Video

Gazzanats Darwin takes over Hidden Valley Raceway for a smoke show

BURNOUT legend Gary Myers and co took over Hidden Valley Raceway last weekend for Gazzanats Darwin, a one-day burnout, powerskid and show ’n’ shine event. After a jam-packed day out on the track, the action moved to the burnout pad for Gazzanats’ main attraction: the burnout competition.

The boys from Castlemaine Rod Shop brought up a few of their tough cars, including the REAL DEAL LC Torana and their HZ Holden ute piloted by AFL legend Barry Hall for the weekend. Barry actually ended up winning the powerskid comp and put on a pretty decent display in the burnouts considering he’d never done it before.

Gary and son Jake Myers both hit the pad in their cars. Gary put on a masterclass in AGROXA, but unfortunately for Jake he had an issue with his S1CKO Mustang, which meant he had to stop midway through his skid. He looked like he was onto a good one too after putting on one of the most aggressive tip-ins of the event.

Perth bloke Sam Lord took home the gold in the blown class with his HZ Holden ute, BAD HABIT, and he scored a ticket to the Burnout Masters at Red CentreNATS in Alice Springs.

There was a Red CentreNATS Burnout Masters ticket up for grabs for the highest-placing local too, which was claimed by Frank Paesel in his RUB1OUT V8 Corolla. Red CentreNATS kicks off in Alice Springs next week, and we’ll be there bringing you all the action, so stay tuned for more!
