THE burnout action at Lardner Park Motorfest a few weekends ago was non-stop, with competition and ‘free time’ practice sessions keeping the tarmac warm for two days.

With cars ranging from mostly stock late-model Holdens and Fords to all the usual big blown and injected beasts, the weekend saw a lot of variety and different skill levels. It was great to see a few local young guys tearing it up on a budget. But of course, the big crowd-pleasers were the more well-known car and driver combos.
