Want to live that dream of owning your own race track? Pheasant Wood Circuit in NSW has just hit the market

Just about every car nut’s dream is to one day own their own race track, which is why seeing a real estate listing pop up today for the Pheasant Wood Circuit in New South Wales immediately caught our attention.

Officially listed as 8 Prairie Oak Road, Marulan NSW 2579, the Pheasant Wood Circuit is just over two hours south of the Sydney CBD, just off the Hume Highway.

Pheasant Wood Circuit may be more familiarly known to many under its former name as the Marulan Driving Training Centre. It’s been featured in a stack of Australian driving media over the years, including Mighty Car Mods battles, the recently rebirthed Top Gear Australia and more, and hosts circuit, drift and driver training days.

Of course, your first question no doubt will be how much this piece of paradise will set you back. As seen in the listing here, it’s a price-on-application affair, but we’d guess you’d need to sell up all those Sydney investment properties to put a genuine bid in.

For your money, you get more than just a few twisty bitumen bends and some pit buildings. The circuit is part of a 150-acre property, and buyers can apparently negotiate an additional 350 acres if that isn’t enough.

The 1.6km circuit is fully licensed and ready to operate, so she’s by no means a fixer-upper. Included is the venue’s onsite cafeteria, timing tower and workshop garages, and best of all, there’s also a four-bedroom house on the property to help sell the idea to your other half – it’s the dream family home!

According to the ad, the 150 acres also includes “extensive fire trails perfect for off-road driving, trail bikes, mountain biking, horse riding and outdoor adventure training”.

There’s also a cabin onsite for those who froff a good Airbnb set-up, and the property itself already has DA approval for the expansion of further pit buildings if you’re keen to grow the place.

You can see the full listing here, and we hope it finds an owner keen to keep the track open to the public for years to come.
