It is no secret that Chopped is one of our favourite events on the calendar. Now in its twelfth year, we’ve been devotees since the very first event, watching it grow from a grassroots deal on a Newstead footy oval to the significant festival it is today. This year’s event will be held back at Carisbrook Racecourse, 4-5-6 October.

The event has evolved each year, but the hear of Chopped belongs to trad rods, customs and bikes, mixed in with high octane entertainment, partying and camping under the stars. The event can be as wild as you want or super-chilled. The choice is yours!

Over the last couple of years, the organisers have adjusted the mix to add some muscle car flavour to the mix and this year they have opened the door to tough streeters and cool stockies from 1964 through to 1978. Intrigued? Read on!

It’s the backbone of Chopped.

Time for a little grit in ya life? Right up there under ya nails and deep in your eye sockets. Dirt
drags have become a core part of Chopped and a tradition of the festival. Head to Head action, plumes of dust or sprays of mud!

Muscle Car Madness – presented by ‘Hard Metal’

Want to flex some muscle at Chopped? The time has finally come. Applications for muscle vehicles from 1964 to 1978. We’re looking for tough cars only—street freaks and real dirty rides. If your car has the power to upset people, it probably belongs in this category—apply now!

We’re all about old-school muscle here – no billet beasts allowed. This isn’t just a car show; vehicles are expected to have a blast and tear it up during the ‘Hard Metal’ Muscle Car Madness race window. There’s also room for original muscle cars, as long as you’re ready to get them dirty.

Chopp’A’rammA – Tattoo & Motorcycle Invitational

Experience a curated selection of tattoo artists showcasing their craft amidst the finest choppers from across the nation at this indoor motorcycle show. Sponsored by ‘Thanks Tattoo Sydney’ and ‘Hypnic Jerk Customs’ this event combines top-notch ink with stunning custom bikes on display.

Show ‘ n’ Shine – hot rods, customs, bikes

If you prefer to keep your car or bike clean, this is perfect for you. Daily trophies add a competitive flair for vehicles on display each day (just head back to your tent at night). And don’t hesitate to take your vehicle for a spin in the drags—it’s almost a must! The event welcomes both single-day entries and full festival pass holders.

bobbers & choppers. Driven and ridden from all corners of Australia these bikes and cars are tribute to the scene, hours of devotion and love are poured into the creation of the vehicles, they are artworks of their own.

Nitro Joe – ’34 Coupe Cackle

Ignite your senses as the awe-inspiring force of Nitro erupts, blasting its flames into the night sky!
Joe Kurtovic and his band of merry men will light up the crown each night with a stunning display from his ’34 Coupe, turning it into a piece of art.

Bands galore, Wolfman and more!

The band line up at Chopped is epic, headlined by Aussie punk legends the Cosmic Psychos! You’ll also hear garage, pysch, country and more, so you’re sure to find something that tickles your special place. Hot tip – make sure you jump on Wolfman’s truck for a lap of the venue. See ya there!
