ANDRA will provide sanctioning at all tracks for Drag Challenge ‘25. If you do not have an ANDRA license, Street Machine will shout the cost of an ANDRA event license to cover you. However, your car may need an ANDRA tech inspection depending on its speed and specs. 

Read the following carefully for what to do next. There are two online forms to complete for entrants and one for all crew members. 

FORM ONE – ESP

First up, all entrants need to fill out a competitor declaration form or ESP (Extended Scrutineering Program). This applies to everyone, regardless if they hold an ANDRA license or not. Crew members have a waiver form to complete. 

For entrants, the ESP form is your chance to go over your car and safety gear, check that it is up to scratch and then declare so on the form. Your car will get a safety check on Rego Day, but you are essentially declaring that your car is safe. 

For both entrants and crew, these are important legal documents to make sure you are covered with ANDRA’s insurance for Drag Challenge.

Entrants: Tick Y that you have checked each item and that is correct. If the item doesn’t apply to you, tick N/A. (For example, ‘Cylinder Head Restraints’ is basically a Group One item, so it doesn’t apply to any DC cars) 

Category Three is all ANDRA Competition class-specific items, so these can all be N/A

FORM TWO – ANDRA DC APPLICATION

All entrants, regardless of their license situation, need to fill out ANDRA’s Drag Challenge Application form here. 

For the faster cars, the form will ask you to upload your Logbook, Medical and Tech Inspection. If you are waiting to get these, just upload a headshot in this spot and ANDRA will contact you to get these done closer to the event. 

TECH INSPECTION FAQ:

• Already have a current ANDRA licence? (and a logbook if applicable) then beaut! Fill out the two forms above and you’re good to go

• Got an ANDRA license but your tech needs updating? Get onto that ASAP. ANDRA are running as series of free tech days, see below

• No ANDRA license and your car doesn’t require a logbook? No problem, Street Machine will shout you an ANDRA event license that will cover you for all five days of the event. Fill out both forms ASAP

• Hold an IHRA license and logbook? Great news, ANDRA will grant you an event license and Street Machine will cover the cost. ANDRA will recognise your in-date medical, but you will need to get an ANDRA tech inspection. Fill out both forms and get your tech inspection organised, see below

SCRUTINEERING SNAFUS

Here are the four biggest issues we uncover during scrutineering on rego day:

• Out of date or unsuitable helmets. Check out this ANDRA document for all the info on helmets, harnesses and seats to suit your car
• Non-functional battery isolation switches (especially where the battery has been relocated)
