Auctioning off cars for a good cause is always a great feeling, which is why we’re stoked to share this 1965 Chevy Impala SS currently up for grabs with no reserve at Seven82Motors.
The Impala is owned by Allan Clark, a prominent figure in the Australian lowrider scene. He’s the organiser of Australia’s premier lowrider event Lowrider Sunday, but unfortunately has been diagnosed with stage four brain cancer.
Allan’s family have put the Impala up for sale to help fund his care, and Ben Atkinson of Seven82Motors jumped onboard to help the cause.
“Allan has given so much to the car community here in Australia, we want to give back and help his young family as much as possible on this car,” says Ben. “So, we have decided to donate 100% of the commission back to the family.”
As for the Impala itself, it’s a bloody stout slab of American iron. A genuine SS, the headline is a 540ci big-block Chev with an 8/71 blower. That makes it good for 844hp, plenty to get a yacht of this size on the move.
It also features Accuair airbags under all four corners, with 20-inch Show Wheels to slam it onto.
Allan’s mates banded together to finish the car and they should be very proud of the job they’ve done.
On top of donating all the fees, Seven82 Motor’s transporter Dan’s Enclosed Trailers will donate the value of the towing invoice to the Clark family if the Impala needs to be delivered.
“We will put every single cent possible directly into their pockets to help fight this as hard as they can,” says Ben. “We want people to bid with their hearts on this one, not only because you can own a tough SS Impala, but also to help Allan and his family as much as possible.”
If that wasn’t enough, Summernats judge and champion spray painter Rachael ‘Durbz’ Durbridge has also painted and donated this four-foot cast Felix aluminium statue to auction off as well. Like the Impala it’ll be offered at no reserve, with all proceeds going to the Clark family.
