STREET MACHINE READER’S PROJECT CARS

OVER the weekend we reached out on the Street Machine Facebook page for you guys to show us your project cars and you did not disappoint! Now a few days later there have been over 1000 cars submitted in total! Yesterday we picked out a bunch of cool rides and then had even more submissions, so here’s part two of our awesome reader’s project cars!

Glen Van – LX hatch, AWD, R32 front suspension, R33 rear suspension, RB26/30 engine

Tim Wildey – Austin A30 four-door. Full chassis, rear doors welded, front doors lengthened. VT commodore IRS rear end, full 8-point cage, removable front clip, VT front suspension, brakes hubs etc. 4G63 Mitzi engine and manual box. 6 months from picking up a rolling standard chassis to first drive.

Darren Davis – Twin turbo Nissan VQ37VHR engine, Magnum IFS, 9″, loads of trick body mods.

Alex McDowell – Grandparents got it brand new, been handed down. Slowly giving it a freshen up with a slight custom metal flake feel

Nicole Willett – Probably should of been finished, but the 383 SBC wasn’t what it was supposed to be so my build had a blowout with new engine and more cubes

Iain Kelly – My 1964 Pontiac up at United Speed Shop in Newcastle. Has rebuilt 389ci Pontiac V8 (now 400ci), will have Accuair air suspension, Vintage Air A/C, plus some old school styling

Justin Stark – LH Torana, LSA engine, Magnum gearbox, full VE commodore interior, 9″ 35 spline Trutrac diff, coil overs, 350mm discs, 4-pot calipers

Corey Sinclair – 1979 XD Fairmont Wagon. Original 302 V8, going to rip a mad skid when it’s done

Ben Bailey – LS1, cammed, built TH350, 4000 stall. Never finished

Rachael Taylor – This is my baby. She was a barn find at Batlow. She was sitting there for 9 years. With a little TLC she’s never missed a beat

Ronald Tewes – 1960 FB Holden ute, VT 5L, McDonald Bros four-link 9″, mini tubbed, slick underside

Damian Smallacombe – VH 770, 5.2-litre 318. So close to finishing, just need more free time!

Lance Jensen – My ‘64 ranchero, hoping to be cruising it as a daily drive later in the year. 289, TKO 600, 3.25 gears 8″. Should be a good thing

Simon John Jeffrey – 1974 RX3 18a (tripple 12a) Bridgeport Turbo On injected LPG. Auto gearbox, VL Commodore 5-litre diff

Gerry Clare – My FG Falcon skid car. Full custom chassis build, 50mm body drop and will be powered by a blown and injected 540 big-block Chev with a TH400, fabricated nine-inch, airbags, big billet wheels

Daniel Hall – Turbo LS combo, braked glide, sheet-metal 9-inch, mini tubs and a 275 pro radials. Should be a nice weekend cruiser with the bench seat up front

Dylan Field – 1958 Ford Anglia, running 1UZ on itbs

EL Mack – ‘65 Mercedes fin tail sedan, 1JZ, custom interior

Ryan Bruce – EH sedan, Rodtech IFS, tubbed with 9″ and coil overs all round, LS1, TH700, billet rims. Engineered for street use. It’s still got a long way to go

Kane Prime – Holden FC, will be running 325/50 tyre on arse, custom chassis, bench bucket in front and a stroked 304 – want to keep it Holden. Car I’m building for my dad, hope to see it in Street Machine in couple of years

Natalie Wardell – Deciding on a colour is doing my head in

Domenic Trimboli – VS Clubby 367ci single turbo built by SuperStreet Automotive, full four-link 9″ double adjustable coil overs, ProMatic/PTC built 2-speed ‘glide, full Chrome Moly 6-point cage, registered street car
