1950 Chevrolet Pick-up

“This build is a massive passion project for myself and my best mate, Tom Brown. What started as a road trip out to the country town of Coonamble to pick up an old dream truck has turned into a full-blown custom build, packed with late nights in the shed, plenty of laughs, and memories that’ll stick with us forever. 

“The truck itself is a 1950 Chev, sitting on its original chassis, but that’s about where the original ends. It now has a custom Z-notch rear end with a four-link set-up by the team at Disguyz Customs, who also did an IFS front clip. For power, it uses a 469ci big-block Chev, with a manualised 4L80E transmission and a built 9in diff with an Eaton Truetrac centre. 

“The wheels are 20in Detroit Steel Ambassadors, and the tray is a full custom bead-rolled piece made completely from scratch. It sits lowered on Air Ride airbag suspension, and the guards have been sectioned to drop the truck 2in so they lay on the deck. 

“The truck is currently going through engineering here in NSW, and the goal is to have it cruising the streets and hopefully featured in Street Machine one day.”
