“Soon after, the standard motor made way for a worked two-litre Pinto with a big cam, head work, forged pistons, twin 48mm Webers and a Sierra five-speed gearbox.
“I then had the front guards replaced with Twin Cam items, along with a new front panel and round-headlight grille.
“The car was then repainted in Ford Teal Blue, and a restored set of 15-inch Simmons V4s were fitted. The next jobs are to upgrade to fuel injection with Weber-lookalike throttlebodies and re-trim the rear seat to match the front Recaros.”
