JUSTINE ‘Juzzy’ Mott is on top of the world after a $10,000 win at Street Machine Supernats in Stawell last weekend. “It was absolutely awesome!” she said after the event.
Despite some tough competition, including from the wild Commodores of Rick Fuller in FULLON and Shane D’amato and GHETTO, Juzzy fought her way through two gruelling qualifying sessions to make the ten car finale, and eventually take the overall win.
The GEMSKID Gemini is packing some serious hardware these days with a BNR Engines-built 407ci small block Chev punching out 1148hp. “We’re running a dry sump now,” Juzzy says, “But I haven’t made the jump to methanol injection quite yet, we’re still running carbies, but they’re 850 Quickfuel methanol carbs.”
Obviously the rest of the combo is pretty solid with a Dart Little M block, Oliver rods, Racer Pro heads and a custom BNR cam, which Justine reckons is the real secret to the combo. All that grunt is barely contained inside a TG Gemini sedan shell with a ‘Glide and a cut down Borg Warner diff from a VN Commodore. “The power to weight is amazing,” she says.
So we asked the obvious question; Street Machine Summernats, are you going?
“Not this year,” Justine says, “After my last attempt went so badly, I don’t want to go back until I’ve earned myself another Masters ticket. But I’ve got to thank Brett at BNR Engines, the guys at RVO Automatics, and my husband Peter for all the work he does on the car.”
