The Jamboree event hasn’t had the best luck with the Sydney weather in recent times, but this time around the gods smiled on us and the event went off! Here’s some of our highlights:

PROFAB MUSTANG WINS PROMOD

Joe Gauchi ran a best of 5.59 at 270mph and took out the event win in the Pro Mod class, beating Rob Campisi in the final.

FAIRXW RUNS 6.72 AT 209MPH

Congrats to Keith Hards, who ran a stonking 6.72 at 209mph in FAIRXW, top qualifying in the J275 class.

GOTBAIL RUNS 9.01 @ 147MPH

Queenslander Steve Carkeet survived a scary blowout in his tow rig on the way down to get his immaculate GOTBAIL ute down the track for a best of 9.01 at 147mph on pump fuel. Oh-so-close to the eight-second zone. Feature soon!

WORLD’S QUICKEST RB-POWERED

The Maatouks Racing GT-R known as ‘The Don’ set a new ET world record for a Nissan RB-powered car with a stoking 5.81 at 251mph

KILLER CRESSIDA

Brad Halyburton’s legendary 1JZ-powered Toyota Cressida took out the Steet Compact class, defeating Michael Osborne’s 3RZ-powered Hilux in the final.

JKLHYD PB

Lee and Anna Povey brought their killer VL Calais all the way down from Mt Isa in FNQ and set a new PB of 7.439 at 188mph. Check it out at Northern Nats in a couple of weeks.

LOPSI

Corey Hunter didn’t have the weekend he was hoping for in the LOPSI Gemini, but looked spectacular doing it.

SALOUPA!

Jay Sadek set a new PB of 6.42 of 212mph in his 20B-powered Mazda and took out the Factory Extreme class ahead of Zoran Gajic.
