THE annual Chopped Rod & Custom Show is happening the weekend of 3-5 October in Newstead, Victoria. Chopped is a three-day festival for pre-1965 hot rods, customs and bikes, focusing on modifications consistent with that era. That means no EFI engines, no billet wheels and kick-start motorbikes.

The centrepiece of the show is the dirt drags, but other attractions include vintage speedway, a massive line-up of bands, a tiki bar and some pretty epic camping. The band line-up is headlined by Aussie punk legends, The Cosmic Psychos.
