David has owned everything from a Holden HJ Premier and VY SS Commodore to a Ford Capri (convertible Laser) and Peugeot 504. But it's the soft-top Suzuki Sierra 'Shogun' special edition that he sold to go and live overseas, which he really wishes he'd hung on to.His fascination with cars, some regretful purchases (including a TR Magna that put his mechanic's children through private school) and his 24-year journalism career, combine to advise people to make an informed decision on their next new-car purchase. More recently he has become an EV disciple and loves boring people at parties about how great they are to drive, the difference between Mennekes and CHAdeMO charging ports, and how he is one of the few people to drive both the Hyundai Nexo and Toyota Mirai hydrogen cars.
