In this week’s video, Adam Rogash and the MPW Performance crew transform Troy James’ angry, stick-shift VN BT1 Commodore with a Harrop 2300 installation and tune.

Troy bought the VN sight-unseen from Grays in 2024. “It has been a mint car, full-engineered with the LS3 and six-speed.” says Troy.

“I got it home, got a roadworthy, gave it a service and ran a 12.3-second pass at Calder straight up. I did around 15 passes that night – drags and roll racing – and it didn’t miss a beat.”

The VN completed Street Machine Drag Challenge last year, running a best of 11.78-secs and finishing a creditable 7th place in Unrivaled Engineering Stick Shift.

Since then, the VN has been down to MPW for a Haltech Rebel LS conversion, improving the driveability further and seeing the PB tumble to 11.56-seconds.

But if some is good, more is better, right? Now, the car will be heading to Street Machine Drag Challenge Presented by VPW Australia in blown form, completely transformed. In the video, Adam takes us through all in the ins and outs of this type of job. Enjoy!
