“This build has been 30 years in the making.

“This Chev was my late father’s pride and joy and the family car I grew up with, so there’s a lot of history tied into it.

“After his passing, I’ve continued the build. It’s being built as a tough streeter to be driven and enjoyed – not a trailer queen.

“ It’s steam rolling ahead ready to fire the engine this coming weekend. Then all that is left is to fit the trim.

“We are entered for Street Machine Summernats 39 early next year, so we’ll definitely be making the trip for that.

“Under the bonnet is a 383 stroker, married to a TH350 transmission, and a 9in diff with four-link suspension.

“It’ll make 500hp once it’s done.”
