On the last Saturday of May, the twin Victorian/NSW border towns of Echuca and Moama roared to life with the largest gathering of Holden’s iconic WB ute we’ve ever seen!

One of the country’s most distinctive car events, the annual UteZ WB Run began as a casual idea shared around a campfire, but it has grown from a modest 30-odd vehicles just a few years ago to an impressive 156 WBs lining up in 2025, creating a sight that stops locals and travellers alike in their tracks.

The range of vehicles on display is as diverse as the owners behind them. Some are still hard at work as tradie rigs, farm utes, or well-worn dailies. Others are restored from the ground up, proudly showcasing gleaming paint, chrome and countless hours in the shed. Wild street builds and classic B&S rigs add extra personality to the gathering.

The 2025 event kicked off at Perricoota Station, a picturesque starting point where participants gather for registration and morning catch-ups.

A local aerobatics display drew eyes skyward, while below, the paddock filled with colour and chrome. The centrepiece of the day was a massive group shot, with 156 WBs spelling out the event’s name in a display best appreciated from the air.

From there, engines fired up and the convoy rolled out for a 70km cruise through the region’s backroads. The destination was The Timbercutter, a laidback venue on the river’s edge, offering live music, food, and the perfect backdrop for a lunchtime display.

The WB Run was more than just a meet-up; it was a tribute to a much-loved chapter in Holden’s history and a testament to the strength of the community keeping it alive.

With preparations already underway for 2026, the UteZ WB Run shows no signs of slowing down.
