THE drive from Lexington to Atlanta was a busy one for Mark Arblaster and Dorothy the Dodge. After driving through the remnants of Tropical Storm Gordon, Arby had some more issues with the car dolly and almost lost a tyre when it began rubbing against a guard. Atlanta has a reputation for bad traffic and it turned on quite the show for Arby as he picked up his mate Nigel from the airport. All up, the 1969-built truck, towing a load that includes a Valiant, three LS motors and three transmissions, must have spent three hours navigating hellish traffic – and yet survived! Arby arrived at Atlanta Dragway only for the rain to spoil his evening before getting a run in.Tomorrow the car will cop spanner check and go through it’s NHRA tech inspection. See you then!
