VIDEO: WORLD’S FASTEST DOORSLAMMER

Australian racer Paul Mouhayet sets the world’s fastest-ever Doorslammer quarter-mile pass

AUSSIE drag racer Paul Mouhayet has become the fastest bloke in Doorslammer drag racing, running 274.33mph down the quarter at the PSCA Street Car Super Nationals in St Louis last weekend. He also stopped the clock at 5.59 seconds, which is about a tenth quicker than any Top Doorslammer in Australia. Paul had previously run a best of 273mph and has been one of the few members of the 270mph Doorslammer club.

Paul had to really wrestle the twin-turbo race machine down the strip. It snapped sideways at around half-track as the monster motor delivered the full beans, but he applied a quick correction and kept his foot planted to record the fastest trap speed ever seen in Doorslammer history. With a tidier run the mental Moits Racing Mustang could probably go even faster!

The beast runs a Pro Line Racing 481X engine with twin turbos and a FuelTech FT500 EFI system.
