PRESENTING the second episode of the Sidchrome Kombi Project build. For those who missed it last time, the Kombi is being built through a partnership between Sidchrome and the folks at the Chisholm Institute of TAFE, in Dandenong, Victoria.

They started with a quite sad ’71 VW Kombi and are transforming it into a show-stopper that you can win! This time around, editor Telfo speaks to Chisholm Institute student Anthony Gatto, who talks us through the ins and outs of the Kombi’s extensive rust repairs.

Next month, we head down to see the crew at Australian VW Performance to see the Kombi’s engine put through its paces on the dyno.
