IN THE July issue of Street Machine, we take a good hard look at what is almost certain to be one of the greatest modified Valiants ever built in this country. Jason Behan’s VG Valiant is one of those cars that has to be seen in its raw state to fully appreciate the craftsmanship that has gone into every aspect of the build. Dubbed MINTVAL, the car’s amazing bodywork and engineering is the work of Chris Wells and the crew at BMV Engineering on Queensland’s Sunshine Coast.
Besides being a rolling work of art, the VG is going to be tough – with a 514ci big-block powerplant under the bonnet – but it is being built to handle and brake well too, as well as being 100 per cent compliant with Queensland’s stringent rego laws.
We had a chat with Jason and Chris to find out more.
