WHILE there are lots of cool modified streeters up for grabs at this month’s Lloyds Classic and Muscle auction, the headliners are once again Aussie muscle royalty.
In the blue corner, we have this tasty XT GT. Packing a 351 Windsor instead of the factory 302, the car otherwise appears stock and was reportedly treated to a resto a decade ago.
Keeping the XT company is this one-owner XW GT Falcon. The Windsor-powered car is matching numbers and had a sympathetic repaint over a decade ago.
For the Holden fans, Lloyds have turned up another cracking early Monaro, this time a 1970 HT GTS 350, matched to a Powerglide ‘auto. The car has had a full resto and is a matching number deal.
If HQs are more your thing, this 1972 GTS Monaro looks killer in Lone-O-Ranger and runs a 308/Trimatic driveline. Again, the car is running its original block and has had a good restoration at some stage.
The auction kicks off at 12.00pm this Saturday and if you can’t get to the Lloyd’s Gold Coast facility, you can watch proceedings via the live stream. And of course, you don’t have to wait until Saturday to bid, you can register and bid right now. Good luck!
