The Ringbrothers have taken the wraps off their latest creation at this year’s SEMA show in Las Vegas. The new car, dubbed ‘Espionage’, is a pro touring wide-body ’65 Mustang fastback made with custom carbon fibre body panels. The car is four-inches wider than standard and features neat tweaks to all of the panels which give a unique appearance.
As you’d expect, there’s a top-notch weapon under the bonnet of this thing, though Ford fans may not like that it’s LS-based. Like last year’s Recoil Chevelle, the new pony is powered by a 427-cube LS7 with a massive Whipple supercharger strapped on top. She’s good for 959hp and 858lb-ft of torque. The motor is hooked up to a six-speed Tremec T56 manual transmission, bolted to a custom drive-shaft and Ford nine-inch diff.
The Espionage ‘Stang boasts 355mm brake discs at each corner, clamped by big six-piston calipers, while tyres are 295-section up front and a massive 345-section at the rear. The wheels themselves are custom from HRE.
Inside, the car features a full custom interior that looks much less track focused and more comfortable than last year’s Ringbrothers Recoil Chevelle. Brown leather covers most of the surfaces, while polished carbon fibre and metal can be seen elsewhere. The dash is bare while a digital instrument display sits front and centre.
The Ringbrothers also revealed another ‘65 Mustang at SEMA this year, and this one even has a Ford engine! Dubbed ‘Splitr’, it’s another pro tourer with a heap of custom body work, though this one is much less carbon fibre intensive. Under the bonnet is a 427-cube Ford Racing V8 hooked up to a six-speed T56 manual gearbox. The suspension has been completely overhauled with tubular suspension arms and aluminium cradle up front with coil-overs, while a four-link setup is employed by the rear.
The third car unveiled by the Ringbrothers at SEMA 2015 is a ’69 Camaro pro tourer. This car still has most of its original body panels, though they’ve been straightened, restored and painted matte blue along with the rest of the body. Under the bonnet is a 505hp Chevrolet Performance LS7 crate engine. The suspension has been upgraded with a tubular A-arm front end, and four-link rear with coil-overs at each corner.
