Haltech is going big to celebrate its 35th anniversary with a killer Birthday Bash event at Sydney Dragway on 18 December, with drag racing, a dyno competition, a show ’n’ shine and a motorkhana!

You can get yourself and your car into the event for just $40, and that can also include a spot in the Park & Sparkle show ’n’ shine free of charge.

The Park & Sparkle will also be a judged event, with seven awards up for grabs that will be handed out by some big names. These include the Street & Strip Style award judged by Ben Neal from Benny’s Custom Works, and Marty and Moog from Mighty Car Mods awarding the Tastiest Nugget gong.

Scott, Dave and Richard from Haltech will also be handing out awards to their favourite cars, and we have it on cheeky authority that our own Scotty Taylor may get to dole out some silverware as well.

The Green Light Glory Drags has us really excited; it’ll be heads-up, eighth-mile racing. We’re hoping to have both the Carnage 1JZ Trolvo and Barra-swapped MX-5 lining up in the staging lanes, and with Ben Neal bringing the BCW Cresta and the Bumpstop Mentoring crew throwing down in their twin-turbo LS Corolla, it should make for some spicy racing!

Entry for the drags is just $30 on top of the $40 entry fee, and will be run under ANDRA sanctioning. But you’ll need to get in quick, as there are only 100 spots up for grabs.

It wouldn’t be a Haltech event without some solid dyno time, so there’s also a mammoth dyno competition taking place on the Mainline 3000hp dyno. Only 12 spots are available for the Dyno Domination comp, with hopeful competitors required to submit a dyno graph with their EOI to prove their worth.

The 12 competitors will get three runs each to get their maximum power figure, so expect some heavy hitters in this competition.

If corners are more your jam, the Tarmac Terror Motorkhana should be right up your alley. It’ll be run under Motorsport Australia sanctioning, and, like the drags, will cost an extra $30 on top of your entry ticket. There’s only 65 spots in this one, so if you’re interested, you’d better reserve a spot now.

Every event you enter your car in gets you $20 worth of Halbucks to spend at Haltech’s merchandise stand, so really you can’t lose!

Entries are open now with spots filling fast, so follow this link for all the information and to reserve your spot. We’ll see you on 18 December!
